School Council

School Council

The aim of the School Council is to promote citizenship and to give the children a voice within the school.

The School Council encourages the children to develop a sense of responsibility towards their community and an understanding of the democratic process.

Each class elects two children to represent them on the School Council. The School Council meets with Mrs Hatswell to discuss school issues, raised by both children and staff. After meetings, School Council members report back to their classes.

Harvest Collection 2023

In October, the School Council did a wonderful job of organising the harvest collection which was donated to Age Concern UK. Some of the food donations was distributed amongst the local community who would most benefit from it during the winter months, whilst the rest was shared with visitors to the local Age Concern Day Centre.

Multi-generational Games Afternoon

On Monday 11th December, the School Council had lots of fun hosting a multi-generational games afternoon. This was a fantastic opportunity for lots of Roseacre parents, grandparents, aunties and uncles to come in to school and spend an afternoon playing traditional board games with our pupils.
